  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 29th April 2024

    It was another busy week at Clockhouse last week which is just the way we like it. This week is a little quieter as we move towards May and the Bank Holiday.
     
    Dental Varnishing
    The dental team will be in school on Wednesday to carry out the dental varnishing for children in Reception and Year 1. 
     
    Year 3
    We look forward to welcoming our Year 3 parents / carers on Thursday for Learn with my Child at 9.10am - 10.10am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
     
    Sport
    Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Cricket Team who will be taking part in the borough Cricket Tournament on Thursday.
     
    Things to be aware of
    Please remember that Monday 6th May is May Day and therefore the school will be closed. We will be back to normal on Tuesday 7th May.

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 21st April 2024

    It was lovely to welcome the children and families back to school last week and hear all about the holidays that had been had. We hope that children had a good week back and talked positively about their learning. They settled so quickly to their learning and their behaviour was so impressive in all aspects of school life! As always thank you for your on-going support you give to us each and every day.
     
    Year 5
    We all hope that Year 5 have a fabulous time at Condover Hall. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Wednesday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog, dojo and website etc.
     
    If your child is not going to Condover Hall, please ensure that the children come to school at normal time. 
     
    Governor Day
    Our Governors will be in school on Tuesday and will be in the playground at the start of the day, please do take the time to speak to them should you wish to.
     
    School Nurse Drop In
    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please call the Key Stage 2 Office to book a slot or just drop in.
     
    Sport
    Good luck to the Year 3 and 4 Tri Golf team who take part in the borough competition on Tuesday and the Year 1 and 2  Football Team who have a competition on Wednesday.
     
    Tile Challenge
    We are very excitied to see your tile creations, representing on of our school values. Remember these need to be sent into school by tomorrow. Thank you to all those who have already sent them in - they are fantastic!

    Welcome back to the Summer Term everyone! 

    We all hope that you have had a fantastic Easter Holiday and enjoyed some time with family and friends! We hope you also enjoyed lots of chocolate!
     
    As you are aware we are back to school tomorrow (15th April) and are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early! As always our focus on attendance and punctuality continues so do please make sure that the children arrive on time everyday!
     
    Please can I take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of the children coming to school in full school uniform and full school PE Kit on PE Days. School uniform is part of the children's identity with the school and is therefore very important. Thank you in advance for your support and please speak to us if there are any problems.     Summer Term Dates
    The calendar on the school website has now been updated with dates for the Summer Term. Please go to the school website www.clockhouseprimaryschool.co.uk and click on Calendar Dates.
     
    Clubs
    Please be aware that clubs will resume this week, starting tomorrow.
     
    Year 5
    Year 5 are off to Havering Museum on Tuesday (China and India) and Friday (Japan). Please ensure that consent form and donations are returned on Thursday, if you have not done so already.
     
    Year 6
    Booster sessions continue for Year 6 this week. Please ensure children are on time and do attend. Attend all Booster sessions and earn your chance to win a very special prize!
     
    Football Day
    We are very excited to welcome back a former student on Thursday! Children are invited to come to school in their choice of sportswear. Further information to follow later today!
     
    Tile Challenge
    We are very excited to see your tile creations, representing one of our school values. Remember these need to be sent into school by 22nd April. Thank you to all those who have already sent them in - they are fantastic!

    OCA will be hosting the annual Summer Fete on 6th July - get the date in the diary!
