    Sun 24 Sep 2023
Thank you to everyone who helped us remember our much loved member of staff on Friday, I know it meant a lot to us and the family.

The children have all settled into the year and we are certainly seeing some fabulous learning taking place across the school. As I walk around the school, it is fabulous to see them so settled and working so hard. As always, thank you for your on-going support - it really is a team effort in every sense of the word.

Thank you to all those who attended Meet the Teacher last week. It was lovely to welcome you. Thank you also to all those parents who are really supporting their children and practising the children's reading and spellings with them at home as well as number bond and times tables. Please remember every time the children read at home and you sign their Reading Record book, they get a raffle ticket and are entered into our weekly prize draw - you have to be in it to win it!

Another good week was had at Clockhouse last week. Many year groups enjoyed their Stunning Starter last week and got themselves fully immersed in their new theme!

I have to say the children have been nothing short of amazing since returning to school and we continue to be thankful to work with such a supportive community. It was lovely to welcome our new Reception children and many of our new Nursery children to Clockhouse last week and like the rest of our new children, they have settled so well.

    Jean's Day
Friday will once again be the day where we honour and remember Mrs O'Connor with Jean’s Day. Mrs O'Connor was our former Librarian and Midday Supervision, who suddenly passed away in August 2022. Her favourite colour was purple / lilac so we are asking our Clockhouse family to wear something of this colour in her honour along with non-uniform (PE will continue on this day).

Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 boys football team who take part in a Borough competition on Thursday.

It was certainly lovely to welcome the children from Year 1 to Year 6 back to school last week as well as welcoming our Reception families for Stay and Play. The children certainly lived up to expectation and took returning to school in their stride. Their adaptability and resilience never ceases to amaze me. They settled so quickly into their classes with lots of learning taking place.

Online Reading and Maths resources to use at home
Please remember that Spelling Shed, Times Table Rock Stars and SumDog, the online programmes that we subscribe to, are available for the children. If you cannot remember your password please speak to your child’s class teacher who will be able to reissue it to you .

    Class Dojo
If you have not yet signed into Class Dojo please ask your class teacher for your login details.
