  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 29th March 2021

    Sun 28 Mar 2021
Well, it is almost impossible to believe that we are in the final week of the Spring term. What another strange but successful term is has been! Without your support, determination, trust and understanding we would not have been able to do what we have done and achieve all that we have. Thank you from us all. I am sure you are ready for the holiday and a good break especially as some of the restrictions begin to be lifted. I know the staff will be ready for the break come Thursday.

We are very excited to be welcoming back Wales on Monday - we missed you all last week!

    OCA Easter Egg Roll
Please remember that on Wednesday, each class will be taking part in the OCA Easter Egg Roll. To enter your child needs to bring in 50p's worth of 10p's (5 x 10p's in total). The closest coin to the egg after all have been rolled wins the egg. OCA provide a great support to the school so please do help them help us, help your children by getting involved. Thank you in advance and good luck everyone!

    Easter School Meal Holiday Scheme
As I am sure you have seen, Havering are once again providing support for families who are eligible for Free School Meals during the Easter Holiday. If you have signed up previously you do not need to do anything. If you have not you need to sign up by Tuesday 6th April in order to receive support. For more information please click on this link - https://www.havering.gov.uk/covid19mealsupport

Please look out for information coming out later in the week regarding contact tracing over the Easter holiday.

All that leaves me to do is wish you a very happy Easter and Easter holiday from us all when it arrives. We finish school on Thursday and we look forward to seeing you after the break on Monday 19th April. Enjoy lots of chocolate!

    Have a good week everyone!

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 22nd March 2021

    Sun 21 Mar 2021
We certainly had another good week at school. Your children continue to be fabulous but it would be remiss of me not to thank our incredible staff team for all that they are doing at the time! I am sure you will agree we are very lucky to have them all and they continue to do all they can to make it the best possible school experience for the children and families despite the considerable restrictions we all have to work to!

Well done to all those who took part in Comic Relief and helped us raise money for this worthwhile charity. I will of course communicate the final amount with you in due course. Everyone certainly looked fabulous in red.

    Help us, help you!
As I have said regularly, as a staff body we will do all we can to keep the children, you and ourselves safe but we do need your help. Below is set out how you can help us and I really do ask for your support and cooperation with this:
    • Please ensure that you do not send the children to school if they or anyone in the household have any Covid symptoms.
    • Please wear masks when waiting to come onto the school site and on the school site (unless exempt).
    • Please ensure that when queuing to get on site, you maintain a social distance and you do not push into queues.
    • Please continue to move when dropping off and picking up.
    • Please do not hang around at the school gates after drop off and pick up.
    • Please stick to the rules outside of school as per the Government expectations.
    • Please think carefully about how you are queuing to ensure that there is still room to walk along the pavement.

Should you get a Lateral Flow (Rapid) Test or a PCR Test?
If your child or anyone in your household has Covid symptoms - a cough, temperature or a loss / change to taste or smell you must all isolate and get a PCR test. A PCR test is for people with symptoms. A number of parents have been getting LFT tests (the ones they do at the Collier Row Library or the ones that can be ordered for families who live with school age children). These are ONLY for asymptotic testing (people without symptoms) to help reduce the spread of the virus. As a school we cannot accept LFT results as proof that your child is negative if they have Covid symptoms.

    Japan
Japan do not forget that you have a non-uniform day on Tuesday as your reward for getting 100% attendance for the week. Well done to you all!

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 15th March 2021

    Sun 14 Mar 2021
It was so lovely to welcome you all back to school. To see the playgrounds full and the school come to life was just wonderful and made us realise how much we have missed this. The children were absolute superstars last week and we are all looking forward to more of the same next week!

As I have said in a number of my communication, as a staff body we will do all we can to keep the children, you and ourselves safe but we do need your help. Below is set out how you can help us and I really do ask for your support and cooperation with this:
    • Please ensure that you do not send the children to school if they or anyone in the household have any Covid symptoms.

    • Please do not hang around at the school gates after drop off and pick up.
    • Please stick to the rules outside of school as per the Government expectations.
We have had a number of parents talk to us about the children's safety when walking down Lynwood Drive whilst Reception and Year 1 parents are queuing and waiting to come onto the site. Due the pavement being quite narrow, please can we ask the parents and children queue away from the road edge in order to allow pavement space for others to walk on and ensure they do not have to walk in the road. Thank you in advance for your support and your help for our whole community.

    Sumdog Competition
Do not forget that Mrs Overton has entered Clockhouse into the national wide Sumdog contest following our huge success last time. The contest started on Friday and will finish next Thursday 18th March at 8pm. Help us do as well as we can and get answering those questions! Good luck everyone!

    Comic Relief
On Friday we will be supporting Comic Relief, please remember that for a small donation we ask that the children come to school dressed in something red or with red on.

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 8th March 2021

    Sun 07 Mar 2021
    Good morning Clockhouse

That time has finally come to say...

    WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

We are very much looking forward to seeing you all back at school bright and early tomorrow. It has been a long 8 weeks coming, but the day we have all been thinking about for so long is only 1 sleep away!

I know many of the children (and the parents) will be excited to get back to it tomorrow, but worry, nerves and anxiety are only normal. Once we are back to it, I am sure it will be like we have never been away. If there is anything you think we need to know prior to the return please do communicate this via Dojo.

Please remember the times for arrival and pick up. As I have said these are all the same except for a very slight change to Year 4.

    • Please wear masks when waiting to come onto the school site and on the school site (unless exempt).

    • Please continue to move when dropping off and picking up.
    • Please do not hang around at the school gates after drop off and pick up.
    • Please stick to the rules outside of school as per the Government expectations.
If your child has an asthma pump and/or any medication that they usually have at school, please can we ask that this is given to us on Monday. Please do remember to check that it has not expired.

Look out for our welcome back video being posted this afternoon!

All that leaves me to say is a huge well done and thank you for all you have done during the last 8 weeks to support the children and the school, we cannot wait to take over the reins.

    Welcome back Clockhouse!

As always we thank you for your continued support in all we do.
    Have a good week everyone!
    Stay safe everyone
