    As we get ever closer to the end of the term and the end of the year, we had another good and busy week at Clockhouse last week, there was certainly lots of excitement around the place!
     
    We have another busy and exciting week ahead - just the way we like it!
     
    Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality
    This week is our termly focus Attendance and Punctuality Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school and need your help to do so. Together we CAN DO IT! Look out for the daily updates! Who will win the top prize?
     
    Maths Week
    Following the success of Maths Week in previous years we will once again be carry this out this week. We have lots planned for the children and cannot wait to share the week with them.
     
    Celebration Assemblies
    Celebration Assemblies continue this week, please check back through School Story on Dojo or speak to class teachers if you are unsure of the date for your child's class.

    Year 2
    Year 2 are looking forward to a virtual author visit o nTuesday morning.
     
    Year 4
    Year 4 are off to Paradise Wildlife Park on Wednesday. If you have not yet sent in money and consent forms please ensure this is done first thing Monday morning.
     
    Year 6
    Year 6 are off to Junior Citizen on Thursday afternoon. If you have not yet returned consent forms please ensure this is done first thing Monday morning.
     
    Sport
    Good luck to the Year 1 and 2 Quad Kids Team who take part on the Borough competition on Wednesday.
     
    The Newsletter for June will also be coming out this week as well as the Summer Term Questionnaire.

    What a week! Thank you to each and every one of you for your support, compassion and understanding during last week - we could not have done it without you all and your wonderful children. As soon as we can we will be sharing the outcome and the report with you.
     
    Thank you to everyone who showed their support for OCA last week through both the Father's Day Sale and the Fete - wow what a wonderful community you are. We hope you all had a wonderful time! Thank you also for helping turn Clockhouse orange in aid of St. Francis Hospice.
     
    Here's to another great week ahead!
     
    Inset Day
    Please remember that school is closed on Monday for staff training, the children return to school on Tuesday.

    It was lovely to welcome everyone back to school on Monday, hear about their holidays and see them excited and eager to get back to school and learning.

    'Go Orange' for St Francis
    Following the letter sent last week, children are invited to 'Go Orange' on Monday (12th June). Please ensure slips are returned, as per the letter we will choose a section of children from this list for the photo.

    Nursery
    We are looking forward to welcoming Nursery parents on Monday and Thursday for Learn with My Child.
     
    Year 1
    Year 1 are very much looking forward to their Seaside experience on Monday and are looking forward to welcoming their visitors. Thank you to all those who have paid, if you have not done so already, please can we ask that you do so.
     
    Phonic Screening
    Please be aware that Year 1 will be completing their phonic screening check this week and next.
     
    Year 4 Trip
    As part of their Geography Fieldwork, Year 4 are off to the Havering Country Park on Tuesday. Please ensure permission slips are returned by Monday at the latest if you have not done so already.
     
    Times Table Check
    Please be aware that Year 4 will Times Table Check continues this week.
     
    Greenland 
    We look forward to welcoming our Greenland parents / carers on Friday for Learn with my Child at 2pm. 
     
    Father's Day Sale
     
    Following the success of the Mother's Day sale earlier in the year, the PA will be holding their Father's Day sale on Friday during school time. If you wish for your child to purchase a small gift, all gifts will be priced at £1.50 and we ask that the children being in a maximum of £3.00. Please send this into school on Friday.
     
    Sport
    Good luck to the Year 3 and 4  Cricket Team who take part in a Borough competition on Thursday.
     
    Inset Day
    Please remember that Monday (19th June) is an Inset Day. The children will return to school on Tuesday next week.

    Welcome back to the second half of the Summer Term everyone! 

    We all hope that you have had a fantastic Half Term Holiday and enjoyed some time with family and friends!
     
    As you are aware we are back to school tomorrow (5th June) and are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early! As always our focus on attendance and punctuality continues so do please make sure that the children arrive on time everyday!
     
    Once again, please can we ask that children come to school in full school uniform and full school PE Uniform on PE Days. Thank you in advance for your support and please speak to us if there are any problems. 
     
    School Dinner with a Paid Drink
    Please can we ask that you remind your children that they should not ask for a paid drink with a school dinner if you have not told them to do so and there is money of their sQuid account. We are currently reviewing this and whether to remove the option for a paid drink all together. Children are more than welcome to bring their own drink at lunchtime. If you do need a sQuid account please see Mrs Collins in the main school office.
     
    Enterprise Week (Reception - Year 6)
    This week we once again embark on what has now become one of our Clockhouse Traditions, it is ENTERPRISE WEEK! The children will be busy creating their enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week. Enterprise Day will be Friday 9th June. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases. A letter came out about this prior to the holidays.
     
    Times Table Check
    Please be aware that Year 4 will be completing their Times Table Check this week and next.
     
    OCA
    On Monday we will be having a non-uniform day to show our support to OCA. In return for wearing non-uniform we ask that children bring a bottle or a teddy bear. This is for the School Fete on 17th June. Please ensure bottles are full and sealed. If you re bringing alcohol, please ensure that this is passed from parents directly to staff. Thank you in advance for your support.
     
    Year 1
    We look forward to welcoming our Year 1 parents / carers on Tuesday for Learn with my Child at 9.15am - 10.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
     
    Visiting Authors
    Year 2 are looking forward to a virtual author visit on Wednesday morning.
     
    On Thursday we are very excited to welcome Banji Alexander an author to share his books 'Lockdown Looms'. Information came out prior to the holiday. There will be a book signing after school. Pre-orders can be placed as per the letter given out prior to the holiday.
