  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 20th May 2019

    A huge well done to Year 6 for working extra hard last week with their tests. We were all extremely proud of you. 

     

    It is another busy week at Clockhouse which is just the way we like it!

     

    Year 2

    A huge good luck from us all to all the Year 2 children who take their SATs tests this week. They could not have worked harder and we know they will try their very best. Get lots of rest and please ensure that all the children are in school promptly so that they can be settled before starting.


    Uganda and Canada

    Uganda and Canada continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 

    Uganda - 9.05am (Key Stage 2 Hall)

    Canada - 2.50pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

     

     

    Science Week

    This week sees our annual Science Week at Clockhouse. The children will all be enjoying lots of Science related work this week all to do with the phenomena that is flight. They will be celebrating their achievements with one another on Friday afternoon with our very own Science Fair. Parents are invited into school after school on Friday to see their work. This will be in the Key Stage 1 and 2 halls. The children will also be experiencing a Birds of Prey show on Tuesday.

     

    Year 6

    Parents / Carers of those children going to Bournemouth, please do not forget to send the paperwork back to school ASAP if you have not done so already. Do not forget also that if you need to give staff medication for the trip, they will be available after school on Thursday after school in New Zealand (Miss Kearns' Classroom).


    Group Photos

    The photographers will be in school on Monday to take our annual group photos - best smiles at the ready!

     

    Choir

    The choir are off to Mawney School on Tuesday afternoon, please ensure consent forms are returned by Monday if you have not done so already.

     

    Non-Uniform Day

    On Friday the children are invited to come into school to support the Mayor and the charities that they are raising money for. These are Havering Mind, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund. For a small donation the children can come to school in thier own clothes.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the boys cricket team who have a competition on Wednesday.

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us last Tuesday for the Celebration Assemblies of Kenya and Mexico, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

     

    It is another busy week at Clockhouse which is just the way we like it!

     

    Year 6

    A huge good luck from us all to all the Year 6 children who will be sitting their SATs tests this week. They could not have worked harder and we know they will try their very best. Get lots of rest and please ensure that all the children are in school promptly so that they can be settled before starting. 

     

    For those parents / carers of children attending Bournemouth, please do not forget that there is a meeting regarding final arrangements on Thursday (17th May) at 5pm in the Key Stage 1 Hall. Your attendance really is important.

     

    Year 6 are off to Waltham Abbey on Friday. Please ensure money and consent slips are sent in by Wednesday if you have not done so already.

     

    School Nurse Drop In

    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday  2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please come to the Key Stage 2 Office.


    Special Dinner for all

    Please remember that we have a special dinner day on Thursday, it would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.


    Sport

    Good luck to the Year 5 Orienteering Team who take part in the Local Authority competition on Wednesday.

    It was lovely to welcome the children and families back to school last week and hear all about the holidays that had been had. We hope you are enjoying the long weekend and are ready to return to school tomorrow for a shorter week.

     

    We have another busy week ahead at Clockhouse with a lot going on.


    Kenya and Mexico

    Kenya and Mexico start this year's Celebration Assemblies on Tuesday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year.     Governor Day

    Our Governors will be in school on Tuesday and will be in the playground at the start and end of the day, please do take the time to speak to them should you wish to.

     

    Year 6

    On Tuesday afternoon Year 6 will have a presnentation on Keeping themselves Safe in the community. Please do take the time to talk to them about this when they come home.
