  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 27th January 2020

    Another good week was had a Clockhouse last week and as always we thank you for the support you give us with all that we do! We have another busy week ahead.

     

    Nursery and Reception

    We are looking forward to welcoming Nursery and Reception parents in throughout the week to work with their children. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you are not sure which day you are meant to come in.

     

    Flu Immunisations

    The flu immunisation team will be back in school on Monday to catch up with any flu imminisations they missed when they were here before Chirstmas.


    Year 2 and 6

    The children from Year 2 and Year 6 will be taking part in an online safety workshop on Wendnesday. This is a very important topic, please do take sometime to talk to the children about the day when they come home.


    OCA (Our Clockhouse Association)

    Our brand new Parent's Association (OCA) will be holding thier first event after school on Friday. Look out for the sweets stalls around the site on Friday after school. Sweet bags are 50p. Please do support them.

    Another good week was had a Clockhouse last week and as always we thank you for the support you give us with all that we do! We have another busy week ahead.


    Arts Week

    This week is Arts Week and we are very much looking forward to working with the children to create some wonderful pieces of art work throughout the week including a whole school piece. Keep an eye out for pictures or our budding artists at work coming your way.


    Year 6

    From Monday and throughout the week, the Year 6 children will be sitting Mock SATs tests. Please speak to your child's class teacher after the tests if you wish to know how they got on do that you can further support them at home - every bit really does help!

     

    The Year 6 children also have a talk about knife crime and the tragic death of Ben Kinsella on Tuesday. Please do talk to your child's teacher if you wosh to discuss this and also to your child when they come home.

     

    Governor Day

    Our Governors will be in school on Tuesday and will be in the playground at the start and end of the day, please do take the time to speak to them should you wish to.

     

    School Nurse Drop In

    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday  2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please come to the Key Stage 2 Office.

     

    No Cost Uniform Shop

    Our No Cost Uniform Shop will be back open on Thursday after school in the Key Stage 1 ICT Suite. Please do come along as there is lots of uniform etc. to give away.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Netball Team who take part in the Havering Netball League tournament on Tuesday.

    It was lovely to welcome everyone back last week and we were pleased to hear about everyone's Christmas Holidays. Thank you for the very positive start we have made to the new term - the children were certainly returned ready and eager for learning.

     

    Some children still do not have the necessary equipment they require - full P.E. kits, water bottles, coats, home learning, reading books and diaries and anything else they need. Please ensure these are all in school by Monday. Please can we also remind you of the importance of full school uniform and that this along with coats are clearly named.

     

    Please remember that clubs restart this week unless you have been advised otherwise.

     

    Reading

    Please can we also take this opportunity to remind that Year Group Ready, Steady Read sessions take place on the following days:

    Reception - Tuesday (8.50am)

    Year 1 - Thursday (8.50am)

    Year 2 - Tuesday (8.50am)

    Year 3 - Friday (8.50am)

    Year 4 - Wednesday (8.50am)

    Year 5 - Wednesday (8.50am)

    Year 6 - Friday (8.50am)

     

    Please do come and join us.

     

    Year 6

    Please remember that Year 6 are off to Gunpowder Mill on Monday, please ensure consent forms etc. are returned first thing on Monday if you have not done so already.

     

    Well-being Hub

    The Well-being Hub will once again be open to parents on Wednesday from 9-11am. Please come to the main school office to sign in.

     

    Special Dinner for all

    Please remember that we have a special dinner day on Thursday, it would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Boccia Team who take part in the Borough competition on Thursday.

    Happy New Year everyone!

     

    We all hope that you have had a fantastic Christmas and that 2020 has got off to a good start for you all! On behalf of all the staff a huge thank you for all the lovely cards and gifts we received prior to the Christmas break.

     

    That time has come and as we are sure you are aware and we are back to school on Tuesday (7th January). Tomorrow is a staff training day so we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early on Tuesday to hear about their holidays and adventures. Bagels will be back and Year 6 Booster is on.

    Coloured Clothing Day

    As per the letter that came home before the holiday, Friday is Coloured Clothing Day and for a dontaiton of £1 the children are invitied to come to school in bright colours. This is to support the local Community Art Project.
