Clockhouse is my other home. When I shake hands with my teacher I know that she cares. She wants me to be me. She says well done when I do something good, like moving on to the next maths challenge but even if I don’t, she smiles and says ‘we’ll do it together’. If I’m feeling sad because my friend called me a name, there’s always someone there to show they care by listening to how I feel and helping us to make it right together. Even when I’m sad, there is always something to smile about, like getting a dojo or a postcard home so I know I’ve done a good job. It shows that they believe in me and what I can do. It’s not just the adults who help me, my friends do too. None of us are the same and that’s okay.
