  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 25th June 2018

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on the Monday last week for the Celebration Assemblies of Argentina and Northern Ireland we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

     

    Brazil and Wales

    Brazil and Wales continue with this years Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

    Brazil - 9.10am (Key Stage 2 Hall)

    Wales - 2.50pm (Key stage 1 Hall)


    Year 1

    We look forward to welcoming our Year 1 parents for Learn with my Child on Thursday morning at 9.30am. The morning will finish at 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. Regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

     

    Year 5 Meeting for Parents

    Parents of children currently in Year 5, please do not forget that we have the meeting on Wednesday (5pm) where the Borough talk to you about the process of applying for a Secondary School place for your child. This will take place in the Key Stage 2 hall.


    Sport

    Good luck to the girls cricket team who take represent Havering in the London Youth Games on Wednesday and goo luck to Year 1 and 2 Athletics Team who take part in the Quad Kids event on Thursday.

    Well done to everyone who ensured that their children had Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality last week. It was good to see and needs to now be maintained.

     

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on the Monday last week for the Celebration Assemblies of Japan and Italy we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

     

    Thank you also for your support with the Enterprise Day that was held last week. With your overwhelming support we raised approximately an amazing £1200.00 (final figures will follow). Thank you also for your support on Friday, with the Fathers Day sale and World Cup Day - we will provide you with amounts raised in the near future.

    Key Stage 2 Choir

    Good luck to the Key Stage 2 choir who will be joining other schools at the Queens Theatre on Tuesday to put on the annual Music Festival.

     

    Sport

    We have lots of sport happening this week. Good luck to the Year 2 football team who take part in the Alex Field memorial trophy on Tuesday and to the Year 3 and 4 Athletics team who will be taking part in the annual Quad Kids event. Good luck also to the netball team who take part in the High Five netball tournament on Tuesday and are in the next round of the cup competition on Wednesday. This will be at home and after school, they would really appreciate your support if you are available to watch.

    Welcome back to the Year 6 children who went to Bournemouth. Hopefully you have had lots of sleep and ready for the week ahead!


    Thank you to the Parents and families who joined us on the Monday last week for the celebration assemblies of China and France we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

     

    Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality

    This week is our termly focus Attendance Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school. Together we CAN DO IT!


    Enterprise Event

    This week we once again embark on what has now become one of our Clockhouse Traditions, it is ENTERPRISE WEEK! The children will be busy creating there enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week. Enterprise Day will be Thursday 14th June. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases.


    Japan and Italy

    India and France continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

     

    Japan - 9.05am (Key Stage 2 Hall)

    Italy - 2.50pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

     

    Year 6

    Year 6 will be visited by Miles the Mole on Wednesday afternoon. This is a workshop all about air pollution and how as a society we can do things to reduce this and improve the quality of the air they breath. Last year this was very interesting and worth while.

     

    Year 5 and 6

    The local Police will be in school once again on Friday afternoon to talk to Year 5 and 6 about online safety. Please do take the time to talk to your children about this important aspect of their safety


    World Cup Day

    To celebrate the World Cup 2018, we will be holding our very own World Cup Day on Friday 15th June. On this day, for a small donation, which will go towards school fund and the enrichment activities we provide for the children, the children are invited to come to school in sports clothes or football kits. Please ensure this is in a labelled envelope so does not get confused with Father's Day Sale money (see below).

     

    Father's Day Sale

     

    Following the success of the Mother's Day sale earlier in the year, the PA will be holding our first Father's Day sale on Friday during school time. If you wish for your child to purchase a small gift please send them to school with a small amount of money (50p - £3.00) so that they can purchase a gift. Please ensure this is in a labelled envelope so does not get confused with World Cup Day money.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Girls Cricket Team who has a competition on Wednesday.

    Firstly, welcome back to you all, we hope that you have all had a lovely half term and that the children are ready for the busy term ahead! We look forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow and hearing about your fabulous holidays.

     

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on the Monday before the holiday for the celebration assemblies of India and Spain, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

     

    China and France

    Year 6

    We all hope that Year 6 have a fabulous time in Bournemouth. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog, dojo and website.

     

    We also hope that those staying behind have a great Activity Week! If you have not done so already, please ensure money and consent forms are returned on Monday morning. The children will be going out and without written consent they will not be able to do so.

     

    Year 1

    Year 1 are off to Southend on Thursday. Please send consent forms and money in by Monday if you have not done so already. Please do make sure you have read the letter which was handed out last week. This can also be found on the Year 1 Class Story.
