  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 22nd July 2019

    Well after what must have been the busiest week at Clockhouse of the whole year, we have another very busy week to end the year on a high!

     

    On behalf of all at Clockhouse, we thank you for your amazing support over the last two weeks, we hope you enjoyed all the different events as much as we all did, the children were certainly delighted to welcome you all to school for so many different things. Thank you to all those that have sent in Sponsor Money for the Sponsored Walk, please keep it coming if you still have it to bring in.


    Foundation Stage Fun Day

    On Monday we have the Foundation Stage Pirates and Princesses Fun Day to look forward to, do not forget the fancy dress costumes!

     

    Year 6

    We have our Year 6 Leavers Disco on Monday evening (6 - 7.30pm). This will be in the Key Stage 2 hall.

     

    Parents will need their tissues at the ready for the Year 6 Leavers Assembly on Tuesday at 9.15am. Parents are invited for refreshments in the School Canteen with the Year 6 staff after the event on Tuesday. This will be followed by their leavers dinner also on Tuesday. Please make sure that money is on your Squid Account if you want your child to have this.

     

    Year 5 and 6

    Year 5 and 6 compete in the annual Mr Len Cup on Monday morning in memory of our much loved Caretaker.

    Please look out for the July and final newsletter of the year this week.

     

    We will also be having the Dojo Disco on Wednesday afternoon for those that have earned their stars! This will also include class parties.

     

    Please remember that as Wednesday is the last day of term, the children can come to school in non-uniform. 

     

    Finally from all at Clockhouse we wish you a happy summer holiday and thank you for the support you have given us this year in all we have tried to achieve for the good of the children and the community we serve.

     

    We look forward to welcoming you back to school on Thursday 5th September, for a great 2019/2020!

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on the Monday last week for the Celebration Assemblies of Peru and Wales we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion. These were the last of our Celebration Assemblies for the year, well done to all the children, staff, parents and families.

     

    We certainly have a busy week ahead of us and are looking forward to welcoming many of you to Clockhouse during the coming week.

     

    Brazil and Scotland

    Brazil and Scotland perform the last of this years Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 

    Brazil - 9.05am (Key Stage 2 Hall)

    Scotland - 2.50pm (Key stage 1 Hall)

     

    Meet the Teacher

    The children will be meeting their new teacher on Monday morning and spending time in their new classes. We are sure they are all very excited about this - the staff certainly are!


    Open Evening

    Do not forget that it is Open Evening after school on Monday, please come into school anytime between 3.30 and 5pm to look at the children's work and meet the teachers. Please also take the time to look around the school and visit your child's new classroom, their current teacher will be able to point you in the right direction.

     

    Year  6

    We  look forward to welcoming the families of our Year  6 stars on Wednesday for their performance of Wizard of Oz. Please be aware that performances will start promptly at 1.30pm and 7pm.

     

    Sports Days

    On Tuesday morning (9.30am) we look forward to welcoming families to the Key Stage 2 Sports Day.  On Wednesday (9.15am) we look forward to welcoming families to the Key Stage 1 Sports Day and on Friday we look forward to welcoming Reception and Nursery families to Sports Day. Times are as follows, Nursery (11.00am / 2.45pm), Reception (9.15am) . Here is hoping the weather is kind to us!

     

    No Cost Uniform Shop

    Our No Cost Uniform Shop will be back open on Thursday after school in the Key Stage 1 ICT Suite. Please do come along as there is lots of uniform etc. to give away.

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on Monday last week for the Celebration Assemblies of Argentina and Northern Ireland we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion.

     

    Thank you all for your support with last weeks Sponsored Walk. It was lovely to see so many families join their children on the field. Please remember to send sponsor money and forms into school as soon as possible.

    Annual Reports to Parents

    The children will be coming home with their reports on Monday. Please do take the time to return the feedback form and the questionnaire as your views are important to us and only help us to improve.

     

    Year  4

    Year 6 are off the Metro Bank on Monday. Please ensure that consent forms and money are returned on Monday if you have not done so already.

     

     

    Year  6

    Year 6 are off the Southend on Tuesday for a day of fun. Please ensure that consent forms and money are returned on Monday if you have not done so already.

     

    School Nurse Drop In

    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday  2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please come to the Key Stage 2 Office.

     

    Sport

    For those of you attending, do not forget the Sports Presentation Evening at 7pm on Tuesday evening. This will be followed by the PE Leaders reward day at the YMCA on Wednesday. Please send in consent forms if you have not done so already.
