  • Weekly reminders for the week beginning 24th February 2020

    Welcome back everyone, we hope you all had a lovely week. We are looking forward to hearing about your holiday tomorrow and seeing everyone back and ready and raring to go!

     

    We have a busy term ahead so we hope everyone is ready to learn tomorrow. 

     

    Please remember that school starts at 8.55am and learning really does start straight away. Teachers are available from 8.50am. We really need to improve our attendance this term so please help us out by ensuring that children are in school everyday and on time unless it really is unavoidable!

     

    We are... Week

    We have a busy but exciting week with all the children taking part in our annual We are... Week. 

    Throughout the week the children will be doing lots of different things to inspire them about their futures as well as supporting our local and wider community. We have lots and lots of visitors coming in as well.

    Please ensure that if you have not returned the permission slip for this week (Year 3 and 4) it is returned by Monday along with any voluntary contributions you have been asked for.

    Friday sees 'No Pen Friday' with lots of excting things planned

     

    Parents Evening (Nursery - Year 6)

    Please do not forget that it is Parents Evening on Wednesday and Thursday, please see your child's class teacher on Monday if you need to book an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you and your children (if they are able to attend).

     

    Parent Council

    The Parent Council will be meeting on Thursday morning at 9. If you wish to come along to find out more about what they do or ask any questions, please come to the Key Stage 2 office and join them.

     

    School Nurse Drop In

    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday  2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please come to the Key Stage 2 Office. The Nurse will also be joined by Marie, our Star Worker who will be able to talk to any parents who wish to discuss emotional well-being. This is a great opportunity, so please do take it up is needed.

     

    Well-being Hub

    The Well-being Hub will once again be open to parents on Wednesday from 9-11am. Please come to the main school office to sign in.

     

    No Cost Uniform Shop

    Our No Cost Uniform Shop will be back open on Thursday after school in the Key Stage 1 ICT Suite. Please do come along as there is lots of uniform etc. to give away.

     

    Sport

    A big good luck to Team Greenland who will be representing Havering at the Boccia London Youth Games.

    As the last week of a busy half term approaches we have quieter week at Clockhouse!

     

    Safer Internet Day

    Tuesday is national Safer Internet Day and the children will be learning about this in school. Please do take the time to talk to them about this very important subject and look out for the Home Learning coming home linked to this.

     

    Nursery and Reception

    The children are very much looking forward to welcoming the Zoo to school on Wednesday. This is always a lovely experiecnce for the children. If you have questions regarding this please speak to a member of the team.

     

    Year 1

    Year 1 are off to Thordon Country Park on Thursday. Please ensure consent forms etc. are returned on Monday if you have not done so already.

     

    Year 3

    Year 3 are off to the Natural History Museum on Wednesday. Please ensure consent forms etc. are returned on Monday if you have not done so already.


    Year 4

    We look forward to welcoming our Year 4 parents for Learn with my Child on Thursday morning at 9.10am - 11.45. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.


    Year 5

    20 of our Year 5 children are off to see The Lion King on Wednesday. They will be seeing a performance of the show as well as taking part in a workshop.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Boys Football team who play Pinewood Primary at home after school on Tuesday and to the school Hockey Team who take part in a borough competition on Wednesday.

    Thank you for all your support last week, it did not go unoticed and the staff were certainly thankful for your well wishes. Thank you also to those who completed the questionnaires or spoke to the Inspectors.

     

    Thank you to all those who supported the sweet stalls on Friday, we hope everyone enjoyed a Friday treat! As the last two weeks of the half term approach we have another busy week at Clockhouse! 


    Year 5

    Police Visits

    The children will be visited by the police on Friday to take part in various workshops. Please do take some time to talk to the children about what they have learned.

     

    Key Stage 2 Choir

    We are very pleased that the Key Stage 2 Choir are once again off to sing at the O2. On Monday they will join with thousands of other children from London to take part in the Young Voices concert. A very exciting opportunity.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Girls Football Team who play away to Pinewood on Monday after school and take part in a competition on Thursday. Good luck also to the Boys Football Team who take part in a competition on Tuesday.
