  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 19th October 2020

    Sun 18 Oct 2020
Firstly, thank you so much for your kind words and the support you have shown to us and the whole community during this difficult time. As the family that we are we will get through this together.

It is hard to believe it is the last week of this half term already - where is the time going! Whilst it has been another half term like no other, we cannot thank you enough for your understanding, your continued support and your patiences. Again we are lucky to work with such a wonderful community.

    Natasha Brind's Bright Day
On Thursday, for a small donation, we invite our whole community to come to school in bright colours. It would be lovely to see parents / carers getting involved as well. This is in memory of Natasha, our much loved member of staff who sadly and very unexpectedly passed away last week. Any money raised will be added to the Just Giving page set up in her honour. The money raised will be used to help pay for her funeral and for her 5 boys who she leaves behind.
If you wish to donate to the Just Giving page on line, you can do so using the following link:

Thank you to all those who have already donated.

    Learn with my Child
As I wrote about in the weekly reminders from last week, please look out for the Learn with my Child videos coming home via Class Story on Class Dojo. I know some have already come out. Whilst this is not the same as the Learn with my Child sessions, we hope it will give you some insight into what your child has been learning at school. Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the videos that we have already received.

Is your child, or a child you know due to start school in September 2021
We are looking forward to welcoming prospective parents / carers into school on Tuesday 20th October either at 4.00pm or 5.15pm. Please call the school to book this or a tour later in the term. Places on each tour are limited.

    Hot School Lunches
I am pleased to inform you, that whilst we are still unable to use the canteen, we will be in a poisition to offer hot school lunches after the half term holiday. The menu for this can be found by following the link below:

    School Closure
Please do not forget that Friday 23rd October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 12th October 2020

    Sun 11 Oct 2020
It is hard to believe that we only have two weeks of this half term left - where is the time going! Well done to the whole community for all that you are doing during this time. We are so thankful for the way you have responded to the restrictions and the way as a community you have taken this so seriously in order to keep us all safe.

Thank you to you all for your support shown during Yellow Day, we will of course let you know how much we have raised in due course.

I am delighted to inform you that Jeans for Genes Day raised a fabulous £419.70. Well done to you all and thank you.

    No Cost Uniform Shop
Should you have any unwanted uniform that you are willing to donate to our No Cost Uniform Shop, this would be gratefully accepted. Please place this in the blue bin by the Key Stage 1 Office. If you need uniform from the Shop, please complete your order using the link below:

    Learn with my Child
As I am sure you can understand, it would be impossible for us to host Learn with my Child sessions under the current situation. However, as always we do not want to be deterred and know how much the staff, children and you all value these events. Therefore, whilst it will not be the same as sitting in the the classroom with your child, each teacher will be or has recorded a short lesson for you to watch with your child, when you wish. We hope this will give you an idea of what they are learning and how you can support them further. Each year group will receive videos over the course of the next few weeks for you to access at your leisure. We hope you find them useful.

    School Closure
Please do not forget that Friday 23rd October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 5th October 2020

    Sun 04 Oct 2020
Another good week was had at Clockhouse last week with another busy week coming up.

    World Mental Health Day
On Friday we will be supporting World Mental Health Day. This is a charity close to the school's heart and for a small donation, we ask that the children come to school in non-uniform including something yellow - this can be a small as a hair clip, a pattern on socks etc. If your child has PE on Friday, their class teacher will have told you which day they can support this worthwhile cause instead of Friday. Thank you in advance for your support.

    School Closure
Please do not forget that Friday 23rd October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.

    Hot School Dinners
A number of you have expressed the desire for us to provide hot school dinners for the children and we are currently working with the kitchen staff to proivde this. Due to the fact we cannot mix bubbles we are unable to use the canteen for lunchtime, therefore we are currently investigating a possible hot menu offer which can be brought to classes for the children to have whilst not compromising the quality of the food. We are aiming to have this in place for after half term. Please bear with us!

    Coronavirus
Thank you once again for your support last week and since the start of the term. This would be truely impossible without this.

As you may have seen we have developed a Frequently Asked Questions on our website as a point of reference for you all. Please follow the link below should you wish to view this:

Just as a reminder, please be aware, should your child or anyone in your household develop symptoms of Coronavirus - a temperature of 37.8 or above (this is in line with Government guidance), a loss of taste or smell or a continuous cough, your child must NOT come to school. As a family you will all need to isolate and get a test for the person who has symptoms only. Tests can be booked using the link below:

Other than for the above reason, or your child is too unwell to attend school, they should come to school everyday. If you are unsure, please ask.
