  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 30th April 2018

    We hope you are enjoying the weekend and are ready for the week ahead.

     

    Thank you to the parents and families who joined us last Monday for the celebration assemblies of Uganda and Mexico, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.


    South Africa and USA

    South Africa and Mexico continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

     

    South Africa - 9.05am (Key Stage 2 Hall)

    USA - 2.50pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

     

    Year 5

    We all hope that Year 5 have a fabulous time at Condover Hall. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog, dojo and website as well as being by the main office door.

     

    If your child is not going to Condover Hall, please ensure that the children come to school with their swimming kit on Monday as they will be going swimming on Monday morning. Please ensure consent forms for their trip to Bower Park are also returned on Monday if you have not doen so already.


    Year 2

    Please remember that Miss Ettridge will be holding 2 meetings on Wednesday (2nd May) for all Year 2 parents regarding the children's statutory tests that will be taking place later on this month. The meetings will take place in the Key Stage 2 hall at 3.30pm and 6pm, please do try to attend one or the other.

     

    Year 1

    For those who have signed up, do not forget that on Monday and Tuesday Year 1 have cycle awareness training.

    It was lovely to welcome the children and families back to school last week and hear all about the holidays that had been had.

     

    We have another busy week ahead at Clockhouse with a lot going on.

     

    St George's Day - Monday

    As we are sure you are aware it is St George's Day on Monday. For a small donation the children can come to school dressed in red and white.


    Uganda and Mexico

    School Nurse Drop In

    Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please come to the Key Stage 2 office.

     

    Themed Lunch and Assembly

    We have another themed lunch on Wednesday as well as Havering Catering Services coming to do a school assembly about Veggie Run!

     

    No Cost Uniform Shop

    Out brand new 'No Cost Uniform Shop' will open its doors for the first time on Thursday after school. This can be accessed via the Key Stage 1 playground.

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Basketball team who take part in a borough competition on Thursday.

    Welcome back to the Summer Term everyone!

     

    We all hope that you have had a fantastic Easter Holiday and enjoyed lots of time with family and friends as well as lots of chocolate! Thank you to all the parents and families who came into school during the last week of term to support their children and the staff, we really are grateful and it was lovely to welcome so many of you into school.

     

    As you are aware we are back to school tomorrow (16th April) and are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early! As always our focus on attendance and punctuality continues so do please make sure that the children arrive on time everyday!

     

    Please ensure that all the children return to school with all the necessary equipment they require - full P.E. kits, water bottles, coats, home learning, reading books and anything else they need. Please can we also remind you of the importance of full school uniform (no nail varnish) and that this along with coats are clearly named.

     

    Year 3

    The Year 3 children are looking forward to welcoming Portals to the Past for their Ancient Greek Day on Monday. The children are also invited to dress up for this. Please send the money into school for this if you have not done so already.

     

    Governor Day

    Our Governors will be in school on Tuesday and will be in the playground at the start and end of the day, please do take the time to speak to them should you wish to.

     

    Bikers Breakfast

    We have an inaugural Bikers Breakfast on Wednesday morning. A letter will be coming out tomorrow about this and we look forward to seeing lots of the children there.

     

    Year 5

    Royal Liberty will be visiting Year 5 on Wednesday morning to carry out a Biology Roadshow with the children. We hope everyone enjoys it!

     

    Sport

    Good luck to the Netball team who play New Campbell Netball Club away on Tuesday and to the boys football team who play Valance (away) on Friday after school.
