As the end of the term approaches, we have another busy week at Clockhouse - just how we like it!
Science Week
This week sees our annual Science Week where the focus will be connections - look out for the children coming home with lots of exciting things to tell you as well as a special visitor to assembly on Monday.
Year 1
Year 1 are off to Southend on Wednesday. If you have not yet sent in money and consent forms please ensure this is done first thing Monday morning.
Year 4
We look forward to welcoming our Year 4 parents / carers on Wednesday for Learn with my Child at 9.30am - 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
Year 3 The Year 3 children will be continuing with their learning about The Greeks with a Greek Day on Thursday.

Finally from all of us at Clockhouse, we hope that you have a fantastic half term when it arrives on Friday. We look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 5th June.

It is another busy week at Clockhouse which is just the way we like it!
Year 2
A huge good luck from us all to all the Year 2 children who take their SATs tests this week (Monday - Thursday). They could not have worked harder and we know they will try their very best. Get lots of rest and please ensure that all the children are in school promptly so that they can be settled before starting.
Year 6
We all hope that Year 6 have a fabulous time in Bournemouth. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 8am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog and dojo.
We also hope that those staying behind have a great Activity Week! If you have not done so already, please ensure money and consent forms are returned on Monday morning. The children will be going out and without written consent they will not be able to do so.
Year 3
We look forward to welcoming our Year 3 parents / carers on Tuesday for Learn with my Child at 9.30am - 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
On Friday, Year 3 have their marvellous middle where they will have their Athens v Sparta Day, linked to their learning theme. We cannot wait to see their costumes.
Reception We look forward to welcoming our Reception parents for Learn with my Child on Wednesday and Thursday (please check with teachers if you are not sure which day you are due to come). As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
Special Dinner for all
On Thursday we have another special dinner day. It would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.
School Nurse Drop In
Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please call the Key Stage 2 Office to book a slot or just drop in.

Year 6

Remember your Breakfast of Champions will be served at 8.15am Tuesday to Friday, don't miss out!

Year 1 are off to the Church on Wednesday, please ensure permission slips are returned on Tuesday if you have not done so already.

Seaside Experience (Year 1)
We hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and having a longer weekend. We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow (Tuesday). We have quite a quiet week this week as we get Year 6 prepared for their SATs tests.
Dental Varnishing
The dental team will be in school on Tuesday to carry out the dental varnishing for children in Reception and Year 1. There will be another opportunity for France to take part in this.
Reception and Year 2
As per the letter that was sent home last week, Reception and Year 2 will be taking part in cycle training on Tuesday. There will also be an opportunity for parents to experience scooting after school!
Year 5
We look forward to welcoming our Year 5 parents / carers on Thursday for Learn with my Child at 9.30am - 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Please be aware of the letter that was sent out previously regarding strike action on Tuesday of this week. On Tuesday the following classes will be closed:

The Coronation comes to Clockhouse
Do not forget the Coronation will be coming to Clockhouse on Friday. The children are invited to come to school dressed in clothes they would wear to the coronation if they were invited. During the day there will be an assembly about the coronation and the importance of this event as well as a special dinner. We would also like to invite any child who wishes to do so, to enter a competition to design and make the best Coronation crown. Judging will take place on Friday 5th May so please make sure they are in school by this date.
Sport
Good luck to the Year 2 Cricket Team who will be taking part in the borough Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.
