  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 17th May 2021

    Sun 16 May 2021

We hope that all those who celebrated Eid last week had a lovely time - we were thinking of you all.

Well done to everyone for another positive week at Clockhouse. We hope you enjoyed the various things we sent out via Class Dojo and Social Media.

Following the success of the 'A week in the life of Year 6' video, we will be doing more of these over the course of the term - watch out for them! If you have not yet seen it, you can view it by clicking on the link below:

    Covid Update
Whilst we are very aware that some restrictions lift this week, nothing significant will be changing within school and the rules and routines we currently have in place. Although I know for some this may be frustrating, we have to adhere to the Department for Education and Local Authority guidelines which do not allow us to make changes.

Please do keep sticking to the rules and support us, in order that we continue to ensure everyone is safe. We are aware that a small number of our community are struggling with queuing due to physical disabilites. If this is the case, please do come and talk to us and we will do all we can to help.

    Celebration Assemblies
Well done to Canada and India for their Celebration Assemblies last week. We hope you enjoyed them from a far.

Good luck to Japan and USA who continue our programme of Celebration Assemblies. Teachers will post these on Class Story / Google Classroom for you to see!

    Virtual Experiences
Following the success of the Virtual Experiences earlier this term, it is the turn of Year 5 on Wednesday when they will be meeting Queen Victoria as part of their learning about The Victorians.

    Parent Council
As you may be aware we have our own Parents’ Council which throughout its time has been run by parents for parents, chaired by one of our school Governors, Marcus Giddy. Its main aim has always been to provide an opportunity to share your ideas and thoughts about how the school can further improve and offer an environment where all the children can work and learn together to be the best that they can be.

The Parent Council is this Thursday, please do join if you can by following the Zoom link below (please join with your child's name and class).

  • Weekly reminders for week beginning 3rd May 2021

    Sun 02 May 2021
We hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and having a longer weekend. We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow (Tuesday).

    Celebration Assemblies
Well done to Mexico and China for their Celebration Assemblies. These continue next week due to the Bank Holiday.

    Governor Day
We have this terms Governor Day on Tuesday. This will be via Zoom. I know the Governors cannot wait to get back into school once allowed.

    Virtual Experiences
Following the success of the Virtual Experiences earlier this term, it is the turn of Year 3 on Wednesday when they will be meeting Zeus as part of their learning about The Greeks.

    Number Day
As you will have seen from the letter sent out last week, on Friday, we will be joining with many other schools in the country and celebrating Number Day whilst also supporting the NSPCC. As part of Number Day, we have lots of fun activities planned and would also like to challenge the children to dress up in ‘Maths themed’ fancy dress. This could be clothing with a number or shape on it or the children could dress up as something maths related. There will be prizes for the best dressed and most creative costumes! In order to support the fantastic work that the NSPCC do, we would like to ask for a small donation on the day. There will be a money pot in the classroom for the children to add their donation to.
