Well, it is almost impossible to believe that we are in the final week of the Spring term and at the end of another successful term at Clockhouse. As always we thank you for your unreserved support in all that we do. I am sure you are ready for the holiday and a good break come Wednesday.
Easter Bonnet Parade
The annual Easter Bonnet Parade is definitely a Clockhouse tradition for Reception and Nursery. We look forward to welcoming Reception families on Monday. Bonnets at the ready!
Year 2
The Year 2 children are off to the Church on Monday morning. Please ensure that consent forms are returned by Monday at the latest if you have not done so already.
Year 3
The Year 3 children are off to the Natural History Museum on Tuesday. Please ensure that consent forms and payments are returned by Monday at the latest if you have not done so already.
Year 5
The Year 5 children are off to Frameless on Wedensday. Please ensure that consent forms and payments are returned by Monday at the latest if you have not done so already.
OCA Easter Sweet Stall Sale
OCA will be holding an EasterSweet Stall event after school on Wednesday. Look out for the stalls around the site on Wednesday after school. Sweet bags are 50p. Please do support them.

All that leaves me to do is wish you a very happy Easter and Easter holiday from us all when it arrives. The children finish school on Wednesday (Thursday is a staff training day) and we look forward to seeing you after the break on Monday 15th April. Enjoy lots of chocolate!
Well done to all those who took part in Comic Relief and helped us raise money for this worthwhile charity. I will of course communicate the final amount with you in due course. Everyone certainly looked fabulous in red!

Year 2
We look forward to welcoming our Year 2 parents / carers on Friday for Learn with my Child at 9.10am - 10.10am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
Year 6
Do not forget - Booster classes start for Year 6 on Tuesday.
Year 6 are off to Docklands on Thursday to support their learning about World War 2. Please ensure consent forms and contributions are returned by Monday if you have not done so already.
Travelling Book Fair
The Travelling Book Fair arrives at Clockhouse this week and will be open to families to browse and buy after school on Thursday, Friday and next Monday after school. This will be in the Key Stage 1 hall. Please do take a look. Please remember the book fair is cashless, should you wish to make a purchase.
School Nurse Drop In
Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please call the Key Stage 2 Office to book a slot or just drop in.
Group Photos
Please be aware that class group photos will be being taken on Wednesday - uniform and best smiles at the ready! If your class has PE on Wednesday, Class Teachers will let you know the change of day for PE for this week via Class Dojo.
Sport
Good luck to the Year 1 Sports Hall Athletics Team who are off to represent the school on Thursday in the Borough competition.
Things to be aware of
School closes for the Easter Holiday on 27th March (28th March is a Staff Training Day). We will look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 15th April.
Another good week was had last week and we have another busy week ahead planned at Clockhouse.
We hope the children enjoyed World Book Day and everything else they experienced last week - we certainly did!
Year 2
On Thursday, Year 2 will be taking part in a workshop as part of their theme 'Let's Go To China'. Thank you to all those who have sent in contributions or paid on sQuid. Please do so on Monday, if you have not done so yet.

On Friday we will be supporting Comic Relief, please remember that for a small donation (if possible) we ask that the children come to school dressed in something red or with red on.

The Book Fair will be in school from 21st March. Information will be coming out soon, please be aware that this book fair is cashless.
The School Fete will be taking place on 6th July - get the date in the diary.
It was lovely to welcome the community back to school last week and to hear about everyone's holiday.
Thank you for your responses to the questionnaire as well as your positive feedback from Parents' Evening. We hope you found the meetings with your child's teachers useful and were proud to hear what the teachers had to say. We also hope the children enjoyed 'We are...' Week and they came home inspired. Finally thank you for the support you showed for Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality Week - well done everyone!

World Book Day
We have lots of exciting things arranged for World Book Day on Thursday. Please do not forget our request for your child to bring a wooden spoon in. Also should your child wish to come dressed as a book character to celebrate World Book Day this will be optional. If you child does not want to dress up they will need to come to school in uniform.
Our Clockhouse Association (OCA) - Mother's Day Sale
Following previous successes, OCA will be holding another Mother's Day sale on Friday during school time. All gifts will be £1.50. If you wish for your child to purchase a small gift please send them to school with a maximum of £3.00 so that they can purchase a gift.
Sport
Good luck to the Year 2 Athletics Team who will be taking part in the borough Sports Hall Athletics competition on Thursday.
Things to be aware of World Book Day £1 Vouchers
We have received World Book Day vouchers for all the children at school. These vouchers give children £1 off a book and are accepted at all participating book shops. They may also be used at the book fair at school in March. The Book Fair will be in school from 21st March. More information to follow.
