Lieutenant Commander Guy Dimmock of the Royal Navy came to Clockhouse to give the children in Year 2 a presentation on his expedition to Antarctica on the Royal Navy ship, the HMS Protector. He was at sea for 2 years and saw lots of polar animals and met lots of interesting people from other countries on his expedition. He showed the children exactly how many layers you needed to wrap up in to stay warm in the freezing temperatures and Miss Everingham was a very good sport about being so warm in his gear.
