#ourclockhousefamily Welcome to our school! Are you looking for a place in 2025 (Nursery or Reception) - book on one of our tours!

Weekly reminders for week beginning 7th September 2018

What a fantastic first week back at school - well done to our fantastic Clockhouse community!

It was absolutely lovely to welcome all the children from Year 1 through to Year 6 back to school last week as well as welcoming new staff and children along with their families. We were all pleased to see everyone and the children seemed to settle quickly, we are all looking forward to an action packed and exciting year ahead.

We hope that you like your new Home / School Learning Diaries, we hope the information in them will further help you to support your child at home. Please ensure that the children bring these to school with them everyday and that you sign them and add any comments. A letter will be coming out in the near future about changes to the reading reward initiatives we have although we are sure your children will have already told you about them!

Last week, some children did not have all the equipment they require - particularly full P.E. kits, water bottles, etc. Please ensure P.E. kits are in school and that earrings are removed. Please can we also remind you of the importance of full school uniform and that this, along with coats are clearly named.

Reception

Welcome to our Reception children who all start on Monday. We look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.

Nursery

Welcome to some of our Nursery children who will be starting with us on Thurday, as with Recpetion we look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.

Year 1 - 6

This week in Storytelling Week where the children will be learning to orally tell stories - please do ask them to show you their story towards the end of the week. Also ask the children about the big reveal that will be happening on Monday - something that has been a long time in coming but certainly worth the wait, we will also be sharing this with you at the beginning of the week!

Year 5

Swimming starts for China (Year 5) on Monday. The children will be leaving school at 10.30am so please ensure that children come in with all they need for swimming. Please be aware that this year each class will be going for 1 term. As there will be less children in the pool this will improve the quality of learning and teaching.

Year 6

Mr McLaughlin the Principle from Bower Park Accademy will be coming to meet the children at 2.30pm on Monday. Parents / Carers are invitied to meet with him at 3.00pm to hear about the school. Please come to the main school office.

Please also remember that Year 6 have their Roman Day on Thursday - costumes at the ready. Please ensure contributions have been sent in.

Year 3 - 6

Please ensure that Walk Home letters are sent back tomorrow. The new list will start as of Monday and if we have not had permission your child will not be allowed to leave the school.
