It was lovely to welcome the community back to school last week and to hear about everyone's holiday.
Thank you for your responses to the questionnaire as well as your positive feedback from Parents' Evening. We hope you found the meetings with your child's teachers useful and were proud to hear what the teachers had to say.
We have another busy week ahead.
Clubs
Thank you for your patience with the organisation of Clubs. The system has not been as user friendly as we had hoped but we are delighted that clubs will be starting this week.
Best of British Week
This week we will be celebrating Britain and the British Culture with our annual Best of British Week. This year we will be focusing on celebrating over 100 years of the Royal British Legion and understanding the work they do as well as remembering the lives of those who fought and lived during the First and Second World Wars. On Friday the children are also invited to dress up as their favourite Great British person of all time. That afternoon the children will complete a Great British Quiz in their classroom with their teachers alongside the annual Great British Picnic. Children are asked to bring in a small amount of food e.g crisps, biscuits, cakes, sandwiches (no meat or nut-based products) which they will enjoy at the class picnic on Friday while attending the ‘Great Clockhouse British Quiz’ on zoom.
Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality
This week is our termly focus Attendance and Punctuality Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school and need your help to do so. Together we CAN DO IT! Look out for the daily updates! Who will win the top prize?
Remembrance Day
On Friday we will be holding our annual Remembrance Day Service. This has now become some what of a Clockhouse Tradition and an important date in our school calendar. Look out for the displays on the school fence as always. The children always work hard to complete these.
Is your child, or a child you know due to start Nursery in September 2024
We are looking forward to welcoming prospective parents / carers into school on Tuesday 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please call the school to book on a tour later in the term. These tours are getting full quickly, so please do book to avoid disappointment.
Sport
Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Football Team who take part in the annual Football League on Thursday afternoon and the Bowling Team who take part in a competition on Friday.
