Good morning Clockhouse
I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and you have enjoyed some time together as a family. Whilst I know, that for many of you, the summer holiday has now started, we do still have 3 schools days left and staff and Team Hawaii will be in school until Wednesday.
Last week was definitely a week of mixed emotions and saying goodbye to all our returners but especially Year 6, under these circumstances was certainly hard. It was never meant to be this way, but the children definitely made the best of it and as always did us, you and themselves proud.
Thank you so much to all those who have taken the time to send us something from our wish list, it is so kind and thoughtful of you and the children will love the new resources in September. If you would like to have a look at the list and perhaps send us something, please click in the link below: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2A2R4W1B0874A/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex
We continue to plan for September using both the Government Guidance and the local expectations that are being placed on us. Our early plans will be communicated with you prior to the end of the term. However, as I said last week, with more guidance coming out on 11th August (so we are told) some of this communication will need to take place during the summer holiday.
This week, Zoom Meet the Teacher meetings will take place tomorrow (Monday), the link to each meeting can be found on Class Story on Class Dojo. Please ensure that you do follow the protocol which was sent on School Story and will be sent again prior to the meetings.
Other things to look out for this week include a special video message from us all as well as our final virtual assembly of the year, which will also include our annual Governor Awards.
We are very aware that this will be a six week holiday like no other and for many of you, whilst school will officially shut on Wednesday, nothing will actually change. We will be in touch periodically over the summer via our normal platforms and if needed can be contacted via Dojo. We also have a range of things to send out to keep you busy should you wish to get involved – watch this space.
All that leaves me to say it thank you so, so much for your support throughout the year and this very difficult time. I am very lucky to lead such a wonderful community and as a staff we are very lucky to work with you all! We are certainly looking forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 7th September, for a great 2020/2021!
Please look after yourselves and each other!
We are still one community and are here for you all.
Our school – a family and a home for everyone!
Keep smiling and stay safe
Mrs Savidge
