It was certainly lovely to welcome the children from Year 1 to Year 6 back to school last week as well as welcoming our Reception families for Stay and Play. The children certainly lived up to expectation and took returning to school in their stride. Their adaptability and resilience never ceases to amaze me. They settled so quickly into their classes with lots of learning taking place.
Reception and Nursery
Welcome to our Reception and Nursery children who will be starting with us this week. We look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.
Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher starts this week following the letter which was published on Friday. Teachers will be in classrooms straight after school and available until 4pm. Please do come and say hello and see your child's classroom. This week is as follows:
Tuesday 12th September - Year 5
Wednesday 13th September - Year 6
Thursday 14th September - Year 2
Thursday 14th September - Greenland (2.30pm)
Friday 15th September - Year 3
As you know jewellery is not permitted in school. Please ensure children do not come to school wearing this. This includes earrings which should not be worn for school for health and safety reasons.
Things to be aware of
Following the success of last year, we will be continuing with Achievement Assembly on a Monday to get the week off to a fabulous start. We will be starting this week. This week we will be spending time talking about expectations and how rewards can be earned.
The Reading Raffle is back again - when reading with your child at home, please send the teacher a message on Class Dojo so that the teacher knows they have read and the children can be awarded with a raffle ticket and entered into the weekly draw.
Hot Chocolate with the Head continues, children will celebrate with me on a weekly basis should they win this award. You will get a call if your child has won to ensure they have permission for this.
