"Never stop learning because life never stops teaching!"

Read on to find out all about PSHE at Clockhouse!
Personal Development at Clockhouse is jointly led by Mrs Bradshaw and Mrs Chard who work collaboratively to ensure that all children receive a high-quality and well-rounded personal development education. Together, we are responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and ongoing development of the Personal Development curriculum, including Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education. We work closely with all staff to ensure that Personal Development is embedded throughout the curriculum and wider school life. Through regular monitoring, evaluation and review, we ensure that provision meets the needs of all children and supports their personal, social and emotional development, preparing them for life both within and beyond school.
At Clockhouse Primary School, we aim to deliver a PSHE (including RSE) curriculum through engaging, quality learning experiences, tailoring the curriculum so that it reflects our school Values and context as well as accommodating the varied needs of all our pupils. By equipping them with the skills, knowledge and understanding of assessing risk, our pupils will be prepared to make informed and measured decisions, form positive relationships, grow a healthy self-image and become well-rounded adults and citizens in the future. The Clockhouse Character Curriculum is woven into sessions.
Look out for our ‘Best of British Week’ during the Autumn Term where we celebrate British Values, the achievements of significant figures in British History and grow Cultural Capital through memorable experiences for all our children.
In the Spring Term, Clockhouse celebrates ‘Aspirations Week’. Children and the school community join together to learn about having aspirational goals for the future, share their knowledge and skills to inspire and celebrate diversity.
OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is a big part of the PSHE learning context. We believe excellent play provision is at the heart of pupil well-being and at Clockhouse, we aim to offer our children the best variety play opportunities possible.
OCA which is Our Parent Association, is thriving and active at Clockhouse and an important part in keeping alive our community links and support of PSHE within the school.
