'I think Clockhouse is a fantastic school because we get to read great books and because of our superb library.'
Taylor (Year 5)
At Clockhouse Primary School we follow the Jolly Phonics approach for the teaching of phonics.
Books are banded across the school to ensure a progressive approach to reading. This is used to support both the teaching of Reading at school and the Home / School Reading approach. Readingeggs and Readingeggspress are also used as an online tool to further secure improvement. This is used by the children both at school and at home.
Reading is very important at Clockhouse, look at these picture of our reading environment.
