       Welcome back to the new half term everyone!

      We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow (Monday 3rd November). We hope that you all had a lovely holiday and are ready and raring to go for the new term ahead!
       
      Parent / Carer Questionnaire
      The termly questionnaire for parents / carers came out via Class Dojo before the holiday and can be accessed using the link below 
       
      As always we thank you for your feedback. We do appreciate that this takes time but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually strive to improve the educational experience we provide for the children and families we serve. 
       
      Best of British Week
      This week we will be celebrating Britain and the British Culture with our annual Best of British Week. This year we will be focussing on British authors and places. I am sure the children will love to tell you all about what they have learnt.
       
      Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality
      This week is our termly focus Attendance and Punctuality Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school and need your help to do so. Together we CAN DO IT! Look out for the daily updates! Who will win the top prize?
       
      Reception - Year 6
      Please remember that the nurses are in on Tuesday for the first round of flu immunisations.
       
      Year and Year 3
      We look forward to welcoming our Year 3 (Tuesday - 9.10-10.30) and Year 1 (Friday - 9.10-10.30 parents for Learn with my Child. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
       
      Year 5
      Year 5 have their annual Roman Day on Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing some fantastic costumes .
       
      Things to be aware of
      Our annual Remembrance Service will take place on Tuesday 11th November.

    • Weekly reminders for week beginning 20th October 2025

      What a lovely week last week was - well done to you all and thank you for all the support you continue to show us. We are lucky to work with such a wonderful community.
       
      It is hard to believe that we are going into the last week of this half term already - where is the time going. It is certainly going to be a busy and exciting one!
       
      Year 5
      We look forward to welcoming our Year 5 (Tuesday - 9.10-10.30) parents for Learn with my Child. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
       
      Year 6
      Year 6 have their Viking Day on Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing some fantastic costumes or bright colours for Bright Day if they wish.
       
      Parents' Evening 
      Do not forget that on Wednesday and Thursday of this week it is Parents' Evening after school. If you do not yet have an appointment please book this on line. If you have any issues, please contact Mrs Collins in the office. As you know, we are offering a blended approach, so if you have not done so already, please do tell the teachers if you want a Zoom meeting otherwise we will assume you will be attending in person.
       
      Please do allow your children to be part of the meeting so that they also know how they are doing and what they need to work on. The importance of the co-education of your child cannot be overstated
       
      Natasha Brind's Bright Day
      On Thursday, we invite our whole community to come to school in bright colours. It would be lovely to see parents / carers getting involved as well. This is in memory of Natasha, our much loved member of staff who sadly and very unexpectedly passed away three years ago. If you would like to donate to Cancer Research, a charity dear to Natasha and her family, please do so but there is no obligation.
       
      OCA (Our Clockhouse Association) Sweet Stall
      OCA will be holding a Sweet Stall event after school on Thursday. Look out for the  stalls around the site on Thursday after school. Sweet bags are £1.00. Please do support them.

      As the nights begin to draw in, it is full steam ahead at Clockhouse as we prepare for another week.
       
      A big thank you to you all for showing the support you do. We are lucky to work with such a wonderful and supportive community.
       
      Year 2
      We look forward to welcoming our Year 2 (9.10-10.30) parents for Learn with my Child. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
       
      Year 3
      Year 3 are off to Barleylands on Tuesday. Please ensure arrival to school is prompt so that the coaches can leave on time. Please also ensure that if permission slips or money has not been sent in that these are in by Monday at the latest. Thank you in advance.
       
      Things to be aware of
      Parents' Evening is Wednesday 22nd October and Thursday 23rd October. Following the letter sent last week, please book appointments on line.

    • Weekly reminders for week beginning 6th October 2025

      It is hard to believe that we are already a week into October - where is the time going! 

      Thank you to all of those who showed their support for the school on Thursday by having a school dinner! 
       
      Harvest Festival
      On Tuesday we will be having our annual Harvest Festival with the children. As per the letter that came out earlier in the term, we will be collecting for the Food Bank who are in great need at the moment. Please send donations in with the children and we will pass these on
       
      World Mental Health Day
      On Friday we will be supporting World Mental Health Day. This is a charity close to the school's heart and we ask that the children come to school in non-uniform including something yellow - this can be a small as a hair clip, a pattern on socks etc. to show their support. If you wish to donate this will also be gratefully received. PE will continue as normal. 
      Year 4 
      Year 4 have their annual Egyptian Day on Friday. We are looking forward to seeing some fantastic costumes or yellow for Yellow Day if they wish.
       
      Sport
      Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Cross Country Team who take part in a Borough Competition on Tuesday.
       
      School Closure
      Please do not forget that Friday 24th October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.
       
      Things to be aware of
      Open Evening is coming up (22nd and 23rd October). Letters and the information regarding our new booking system will be coming home in the near future.
       
      We finish for half term at the end of the day on Thursday 23rd October. We return to school on Monday 3rd November.
