    • Weekly reminders for week beginning 9th June 2025

      It was lovely to welcome everyone back to school on Monday, hear about their holidays and see them excited and eager to get back to school and learning.
       
      Thank you for your support for Enterprise Day - it is much appreciated. Well done and thank you to all those who did their very best and showed Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality last week. A huge well done to our winners - Japan!
       
      We have a busy week ahead!
       
      Celebration Assemblies
      Celebration Assemblies start this week, please check back through School Story on Dojo or speak to class teachers if you are unsure of the date for your child's class.
      We are looking forward to seeing many of you there: 
      Wednesday 11th June - Japan (9.10am) Key Stage 2 Hall
      Wednesday 11th June - Canada (2.50pm) Key Stage 1 Hall
      Friday 13th June - India (9.10am) Key Stage 2 Hall
      Friday 13th June - Mexico (2.50pm) Key Stage 1 Hall
      We look forward to welcoming you to school to celebrate with your children.
       
      Year 1
      Phonic Screening - Please be aware that Year 1 will be completing their phonic screening check this week and next.
      We look forward to welcoming our Year 1 parents / carers on Thursday for Learn with my Child at 9.10am - 10.10am (approximately). Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
       
      Year 2 
      Year 2 are off to Colchester Castle on Thursday. If you have not yet sent in money and consent forms please ensure this is done by Tuesday morning.
       
      Year 3
      Year 3 are very much looking forward to their Athens v Sparta day on Tuesday. Best costumes at the ready, we cannot wait to see you all.
      Year 4
      Times Table Check - Please be aware that Year 4 will Times Table Check continues this week.
       
      Year 5
      On Thursday, Year 5 are off for a day at Forest Academy to experience life at a Secondary School. If you have not yet sent in consent forms please ensure this is done by Tuesday morning.
       
      OCA
      Inflatable Evening
      Do not forget OCA will be hosting an Evening of Inflatables on Thursday. It is not too late to get wrist bands.
      Father's Day Sale
      Following the success of the Mother's Day sale earlier in the year, the PA will be holding their Father's Day sale on Friday during school time. If you wish for your child to purchase a small gift, all gifts will be priced at £1.50 and we ask that the children bring in a maximum of £3.00. Please send this into school on Friday.
       
      Choir
      On Thursday morning the Choir or off to the Scotts Primary School to practise for their up and coming Music Festival. 
       
      Things to be aware of
      Inset Day Please remember that Monday (23rd June) is an Inset Day. The children will return to school on the Tuesday.

      Welcome back to the second half of the Summer Term everyone! 

       
      We all hope that you have had a fantastic Half Term Holiday and enjoyed some time with family and friends!
       
      As you are aware, we are back to school tomorrow (2nd June) and are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early! As always, our focus on attendance and punctuality continues so do please make sure that the children arrive on time everyday!
       
      Once again, please can we ask that children come to school in full school uniform and full school PE Uniform on PE Days. Thank you in advance for your support and please speak to us if there are any problems. 
       
      Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality
      This week is our termly focus Attendance and Punctuality Week. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in school everyday and on time! We really do need to work together to improve the children's attendance across the school and need your help to do so. Together we CAN DO IT! Look out for the daily updates! Who will win the top prize?
       
      Enterprise Week (Reception - Year 6)
      This week we once again embark on what has now become one of our Clockhouse Traditions, it is ENTERPRISE WEEK! The children will be busy creating their enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week. Enterprise Day will be Friday 6th June. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases. A letter came out about this prior to the holidays

      Year 4
      Please be aware that Year 4 will be completing their Times Table Check this week and next. Good luck to you all.

      Year 5
      Year 5 are looking forward to welcoming Mrs Letchmere from Bower Park Academy to do a Drama Workshop with them.
       
      Year 6
      Year 6 are looking forward to welcoming a French specialist, from Forest Academy, to teach them French. This will be a four week program. 
       
      Is you child joining Nursery in September?
      Do not forget there is a meeting for those parents of children joining us in Nursery in September on Thursday at either 2pm or 7pm. You only need attend one meeting. Please complete the slip on the letter to let us know when you will be attending. We look forward to welcoming you. 
       
      Sport
      Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 who will be taking part in the annual borough Quad Kids event. This year this will be all the children in the year groups and will be hosted at school.

      Class Celebration Assemblies start again on 11th June. Dates have already been sent out. Reminders will also be shared prior to your classes assembly.

      A huge well done to Year 6 for working extra hard last week with their tests. We are all extremely proud of you. 
       
      As the end of the term approaches, we have another busy week at Clockhouse - just how we like it! 
       
      Awards Ceremony
      Mrs Fletcher and our Travel Ambassadors are off to The Oval on Monday as we are one of the regional finalist of the TfL Travel for Life, Top Schools awards. What an accolade! 
       
      Reception and Year 1
      The Dental Team are back on Tuesday for Reception and Year 1.
       
      Year 2 and Year 5
      We look forward to welcoming our Year 2 parents / carers on Wednesday and Year 5 parents / carers on Tuesday for Learn with my Child at 9.10am - 10.10am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.
       
      Year 4
      Year 4 are off to Havering Country Park on Thursday. Please return permissions slips by Monday if you have not done so already.
       
      Is your child joining Reception in September?

      We hope everyone enjoyed the slightly shorter week at school last week. 
       
      It is a quieter week at Clockhouse which is important, as it is a very important week for our wonderful Year 6 children and staff.
       
      Year 6
      A huge good luck from us all to all the Year 6 children who will be sitting their SATs tests this week. They could not have worked harder and we know they will try their very best. Get lots of rest and please ensure that all the children are in school promptly so that they can be settled before starting.  Remember your Breakfast of Champions will be served at 8.15am Monday to Thursday, don't miss out!
       
      Special Dinner for all
      On Thursday we have another special dinner day. It would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.
       
      Things to be aware of
      The last day of the half term is Friday 23rd May. We return to school for the final term of the year on Monday 2nd June.

      We hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and having a longer weekend. We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow (Tuesday). Whilst we gear up for the Year 6 SATs we have another quiet week at Clockhouse. 
       
      Reception
      We look forward to welcoming our Reception parents for Learn with my Child on Tuesday and Wednesday (please check with teachers if you are not sure which day you are due to come). As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

      Year 3 are off to Layer Marney Tower on Tuesday, please ensure permission slips are returned on Tuesday if you have not done so already.

      Please do not forget that the OCA will be hosting an evening of Inflatables on 12th June - date for your diary. Look out for wristbands being sold.
