Please keep this in mind when deciding what your child will wear. All donations received for this will be sent to Children in Need. Please help us support this worthy cause if you can!

Swimming starts on Monday for Year 4 and Greenland. Year 4 will be swimming everyday for the next two weeks so please ensure that they come prepared. Any questions please ask.

      Art, Art and more Art
A Monday and Tuesday the children from Year 1 to 6 will be taking part in this years Wow Days. Some of the children will even get to work with an art company who will be joining us. Watch out to see what we get up to.

Please be aware that due to this, Achievement Assembly will start next week.

      Jean's Day
Friday will once again be the day where we honour and remember Mrs O'Connor with Jean’s Day. Mrs O'Connor was our former Librarian and Midday Supervision, who suddenly passed away in August 2022. Her favourite colour was purple / lilac so we are asking our Clockhouse family to wear something of this colour in her honour along with non-uniform (PE will continue on this day).

      Things to be aware of
We are having a big push on tucking shirts in and taking pride in our appearance. The children are getting very good at this and thank them and you for your support in this. This also includes ensuring the children come to school in the correct PE uniform on PE Days, please help us with this.

    • Weekly reminders for week beginning 8th September 2025

      Published 06/09/25
It was certainly lovely to welcome the children from Year 1 to Year 6 back to school as well as welcoming our Reception families for Stay and Play. The children certainly lived up to expectation and have taken returning to school in their stride. Their adaptability and resilience never ceases to amaze me. They settled so quickly into their classes with lots of learning taking place.

      Reception and Nursery
Welcome to our Reception and Nursery children who will be starting with us this week. We look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.

      Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher continues. Teachers will be in classrooms straight after school and available until 4pm. Please do come and say hello and see your child's classroom. We apologise for the date change for Brazil (Year 3). These are as follows:
      Tuesday 9th September - Year 5
Wednesday 10th September - Year 3 (Peru and Argentina)
Thursday 11th September - Year 1 and Year 3 (Brazil)
      Friday 12th September - Year 4
      Please remember
As you know jewellery is not permitted in school. Please ensure children do not come to school wearing this. This includes earrings which should not be worn for school for health and safety reasons.

      Things to be aware of
Following the success of last year, we will be continuing with Achievement Assembly on a Monday to get the week off to a fabulous start. On Monday we will be spending time talking about expectations and how rewards can be earned.

The Reading Raffle is back again - when reading with your child at home, please send the teacher a message on Class Dojo or fill in their Reading Diary so that the teacher knows they have read and the children can be awarded with a raffle ticket and entered into the weekly draw.

Hot Chocolate with the Head continues, children will celebrate with me on a weekly basis should they win this award. You will get a call if your child has won to ensure they have permission for this.

Please also remember that if children bring things to school, this is done so at your own risk (unless we have directly asked you to do so).

Swimming for Year 4 starts next Monday (15th September). Please ensure they have the necessary equipment ready.
