Former Pupil Teaches Year 6 Handball

Year 6 were very excited and lucky to welcome back former Clockhouse pupil Niamh to help them learn and develop their Handball skills.

Niamh was part of the National Champion winning side when she played for Bower Park Academy.

The children got so much out of this and had a great time also.

Thanks to Niamh for coming back to inspire us!

Future National Champions?

Clockhouse and Towers Juniors took a group of children to work closely with Bower Park Academy for a handball training / game.

Children were given the opportunity to learn the technical skill aspects of the games from Mr Baker at Bower Park whilst former Clockhouse pupils were on hand to support in micro coaching drills.

The evening was very beneficial for all parties. Clockhouse and Towers got the opportunity to learn or further develop their handball ability whilst Bower Park had the opportunity to look for the starts of the next generation.

Essex Handball coaches were also in attendance and have started to offer a club for under 12's at Bower Park on Tuesday evenings. For more information please contact Essexhurricaneshandball@hotmail.com - a number of former and current pupils currently attend.

Mr Yarrow would like to thank Mr Baker, the former Clockhouse pupils, Towers Juniors and Bower Park Academy for supporting a fun engaging event!
