Wow Day
We are very much looking forward to a special event at school on Monday involving the children from Year 2 to 6! Ask them what they got up to when they get home!
Exciting Times for Clockhouse
We have a number of Headteachers and Senior Leaders from all over the country visiting the school on Tuesday to learn about what we do. We cannot wait to showcase our wonderful school!
Year 2 and Year 4
Children in Year 2 and 4 have and exciting VR expeirence coming to school on Wednesday to launch their new topic learning. Please send the money in or pop into the office if you need to pay for this - thank you in advance.
Jean's Day
Friday will once again be the day where we honour and remember Mrs O'Connor with Jean’s Day. Mrs O'Connor was our former Librarian and Midday Supervision, who suddenly passed away in August 2022. Her favourite colour was purple / lilac so we are asking our Clockhouse family to wear something of this colour in her honour along with non-uniform (PE will continue on this day).
Is your child, or a child you know due to start Reception in September 2027
We are looking forward to welcoming prospective parents / carers into school on Thursday 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please call the school to book this or a tour later in the term.
Please remember
As you know jewellery is not permitted in school. Please ensure children do not come to school wearing this. This includes earrings which should not be worn for school for health and safety reasons.
Things to be aware of
Following the success of last year, we will be continuing with Achievement Assembly on a Monday to get the week off to a fabulous start. This will be starting on Monday 21st September.
The Reading Raffle is back again - when reading with your child at home, please send the teacher a message on Class Dojo or fill in their Reading Diary so that the teacher knows they have read and the children can be awarded with a raffle ticket and entered into the weekly draw. Look out for more exciting news about reading at Clockhouse coming your way soon.
Hot Chocolate with the Head continues, children will celebrate with me should they win this award. You will get a call if your child has won to ensure they have permission for this.
Please also remember that if children bring things to school, this is done so at your own risk (unless we have directly asked you to do so).
We are having a big push on tucking shirts in and taking pride in our appearance. The children are getting very good at this and thank them and you for your support in this. This also includes ensuring the children come to school in the correct PE uniform on PE Days, please help us with this.
